Cialis Professional and Alcohol

Cialis Professional is used successfully against erectile dysfunction. This drug features an advanced formula, which ensures sufficient erection, brings back confidence and sexual stamina over a short period of time. Cialis Professional has been formulated in such a way as to reduce the possibility of adverse reactions. At the same time, this is still a prescription drug, which should not be used without a doctor's attendance.

Tadalafil tends to exert a mild hypotensive influence on the body. Although no serious blood pressure drops have been reported so far with the drug used alone, its co-administration with some other substances can result in serious drops of supine blood pressure. The drug's hypotensive effect is most observable if it is used with alpha-blockers, nitrates and other ED medications.

Concomitant use of the drug with alcohol can also result in low blood pressure, because both Cialis and alcohol work as mild vasolidators, and the effect may double. Consequently, there is an increased risk of hypotension, which may cause unpleasant symptoms, such as fast heart rate, lightheadedness, fatigue, weakness, nausea, etc. It should be noted, that not all people, who have used Cialis Professional along with alcohol experience any of these reactions. Studies have shown that with mild doses of alcohol taken, Tadalafil is less likely to cause blood pressure fluctuations.

The interaction between Cialis and alcohol was monitored in several studies. Although alcohol did not exert any influence on tadalafil plasma concentrations (nor did tadalafil affect alcohol plasma levels), patients with 0.08% blood alcohol concentrations experienced lowered blood pressure and dizziness.

There is no statistics on alcohol-related side-effect occurrence among Cialis users, and we have little information on how such a combination works in each individual case. There are no research data on proportional amounts of either component, which would be more likely to cause adverse reactions. In any event, if you have taken a certain amount of alcohol, you'd better skip your dose and discuss the matter with your physician later.

Some people believe in alcohol's stimulating action and take it as an additional means of boosting their sexuality. It is a well known fact that alcohol can make you feel a little more confident, which can help you achieve a stronger erection. However, unlike Cialis, which has a direct physical effect on your sex organs, alcohol affects your mental and emotional state, and its stimulating effect lasts for just a few minutes after it is taken. It is only within this small time span that concomitant use of Cialis with alcohol can improve your sexual drive in a way. When this period is over, alcohol starts acting as a sedative, and it may neutralize Tadalafil's effect and you will have a disappointing result.
